Vulnerable computer systems and applications:
PC and server operating systems.
Open proxy is a proxy server that can be used by any Internet user without any means of authorisation. Typically, these services are closed. Open service stations can be exploited for malicious activity – spreading malicious software, spam, pornography, overrunning other systems and cyber attacks. Poorly configured proxy stations can give an attacker access to an internal network, thereby endangering devices, data and operating services. The open proxy can operate on the computer without the knowledge of the owner. This may occur because of computer overrunning (trojans, viruses, worms), or poor program configurations.
- Install/update used antivirus and firewall, and perform a full system check;
- Configure your network equipment and computer programs correctly.
