Alureon or TDSS is a Trojan and a rootkit. By analyzing network traffic, it collects login names and passwords, credit card data, and other sensitive information. Creates a botnet, a network of computers. It was detected in 2007 for the first time. The Alureon botnet was particularly active in 2010.
- Install the latest operating system and application updates;
- Do not open emails and attachments sent from unknown senders;
- Use an antivirus program.
